Kuka päivitti Catullus?
Catullus
Gaius Valerius Catullus (n. 87/84 eaa., Verona – noin 54 eaa., Rooma) oli roomalainen runoilija. Catullus tunsi hyvin kreikkalaista kulttuuria. Catullus on ensimmäinen roomalainen, joka kirjoitti rakkauteen liittyvästä hellyydestä. Esikuvanaan hänellä on kreikkalainen Sapfo. Herjarunoissaan Catullus tuo esille groteskin erotiikan ja siinä tulee esille värikäs roomalainen seksielämä sekä siihen liittyvä sanasto.lähde?

Clodia (born Claudia; c. 94/95 BC), nicknamed Quadrantaria ("Quarter", from quadrantarius, the price of a visit to the public baths), Nola ("The Unwilling", from the verb nolo, in sarcastic reference to her alleged wantonness), Medea Palatina ("Medea of the Palatine") by Cicero (see below), and occasionally referred to in scholarship as Clodia Metelli ("Metellus's Clodia"), was one of three known daughters of the ancient Roman patrician Appius Claudius Pulcher.
Like many other women of the Roman elite, Clodia was very well-educated in Greek and philosophy, with a special talent for writing poetry. Her life, which was characterized by perpetual scandal, is immortalized in the writings of Marcus Tullius Cicero and, it is generally believed, in the poems of Gaius Valerius Catullus.

Lesbia
Lesbia was the literary pseudonym used by the Roman poet Gaius Valerius Catullus (c. 84–54 BC) to refer to his lover. Lesbia is traditionally identified with Clodia, the wife of Quintus Caecilius Metellus Celer and sister of Publius Clodius Pulcher; her conduct and motives are maligned in Cicero's extant speech Pro Caelio, delivered in 56 BC.
