Kondō Isami (近藤 勇; November 9, 1834 – May 17, 1868) was a Japanese swordsman and samurai of the late Edo period. He was the fourth generation master of Tennen Rishin-ryū and was famed for his role as commander of the Shinsengumi.

Viscount Shinagawa Yajirō (品川 弥二郎; 20 November 1843 – 26 February 1900) was a Japanese samurai of the Chōshū Domain and politician who became Home Minister in the early Meiji period.
